Video Page

We're going to try something new here...and we hope that it works! Keep checking for new videos that we'll be making of the cats playing around. Hopefully it will add another dynamic to letting the folks see the personalities of the wonderful cats that we care for. Please let me know if there are problems, or if the quality is really bad. I've tried to compact the files a bit so that they don't take forever to view online.

The following videos are of the staff playing with Isis. Isis is by far our biggest hunter. She loves to play with the rubber garbage cans that the staff throws for her. She likes to set herself up for the hunt, stalk, and when the time is right come racing in for the "kill". The key for the staff is to get her interested in the movement of the can, create different hunting scenarios, and to make a good throw as she approaches. If done right, Isis will leap over 6 feet into the air to catch the can. Of all the different enrichment techniques that the staff uses for the cats, this is by far her favorite!

Dawn Belotti & Baja

Here are some of the newest videos. Dawn Belotti sent us some new garbage cans for the cats to play with. We were in for a treat this time, as the cans came with lids. Isis seemed to be very interested in the lids, so we decided to see if she would make a good frisbee tiger! This video was taken the very first time that we introduced the new enrichment to her.

Isis the Frisbee Tiger. Not too bad for her first day. She has to learn that the "frisbee" has a lot more hang time that a garbage can does. This will be a good enrichment for her since she'll have to figure out how to time her jumps better! (Plays w/ Windows Media Player)

Baja the Impatient Tiger. Baja gets VERY impatient while waiting for his new toy that was sent to him by Dawn Belotti. (Plays with Windows Media Player)

Dawn Belotti sent the cats another great gift. This time it was a "Jolly Ball" that is made for large zoo animals for enrichment purposes. Our cats have had a red Jolly Ball for quite some time now, but it is a lot smaller than this one. Baja usually carries the other around in his mouth with no problem. However, we didn't think that he'd get this bigger one in there!

Author Christine Feehan has been making short trailers for her books for some time now. Recently, she called on Victoria to star in one for her book titled Dark Demon. Victoria plays a woman who can transform into a tiger...imagine that! Anyway, as well as Victoria being in the trailer, two of our residents, Tawny and Baja are also featuredas well. I took some stock footage here at the sanctuary of the cats, and Circle of Seven Productions were able to edit them, and use them in the trailer. Of course, as with most animals, our cats do lots of interesting things throughout the day...until you bring out the camera! Anyway, the cat that you see Victoria transform into is Tawny, and the cat that you'll see walking in snow is Baja.
