Destiny Big Cat Sanctuary is a result of a lifelong dream and fascination with rescuing cats in trouble that owner Victoria Canzonetta has had since the age of seven. In 1997, she began to clear and develop a large parcel of land In South Florida to build her sanctuary, a six-acre big cat facility. Here, among ¼ acre habitats, her permanent residents frolic in custom built swimming pools, waterfalls and exotic rock formations.

Realizing that public awareness was a key to stopping exotic animal abuse, Victoria has parlayed her public relations background into high profile media exposure. Her efforts have led her to appearances on the Montel Williams Show, various Las Vegas stages, and articles in numerous newspapers and magazines, including winning Cosmopolitan Magazine's "Fun Fearless Female" award in 1998.

It is her ultimate hope that, by educating children and adults, the abuse and over-breeding of exotic cats in captivity for profit and gain will cease to exist.
